I worked the watermelon stand today.

My town has 4th of July festivities in our very small ballpark every year.

Games, auctions, kiosks selling all kinds of stuff, and fireworks at 10:00 tonight, which believe it or not for such a dinky town, are actually pretty good and loud.

This morning, I went down there with the intention of just walking around and watching people fall off a pole greased with engine oil and Crisco trying to get to the $50 bill at the top. The name of this game, according to the sign? You guessed it... "Greasy Pole - Get to the Top and Win $50!". [img]wink.gif[/img]

Well, one of my friends' moms asked me to watch over a watermelon table and give it out to people whenever they want it.

But what she meant is that I had to stand at a table in the middle of the field in the blazing sun for a few hours. But it didn't bother me, because I looked good doing so... I had just bought a pair of bitchin' shades. [img]cool.gif[/img]

Hey... it was the only stand there in which I got to use a butcher knife. [img]wink.gif[/img]

There must have been at least 5-10 wanting watermelon at the same time, and near the end of the "shift" when it had slowed down, the kid total was about 40.

So... yeah... that was my Monday. [img]wink.gif[/img]

Educate me... are Micronauts the same thing as Microman, or...?

okay...Takara started Microman in the 70's in Japan.
when US company MEGO got the rights for a N.AM. release, the name changed to Micronauts.
so they're mostly the same, although both lines did have stuff the other didn't have.
